This past Sunday I went to Pont du Diable with a few friends and had a picnic. There were a number of crazy ppl who jumped off the bridge (none of us). I jumped off a little boulder next to the bridge though. I was proud of myself (the 7 year olds doing the same thing didn't look super impressed).
Monday... was a long day, I ended up working for 10 hours with only 15 minutes for lunch. I had a rendez-vous with a homestay family in the morning, then searched for the addresses of a few places I was putting in my brochure, then I had a quick lunch before going to visit a family who had new arrivals at their house, after that I gave a tour around Montpellier for these new arrivals... To say the least, I was exhausted.
Tuesday I had another rendez-vous and then visited a Chateau with Anne to see another stagiare who was just finishing her internship. It was a very laid back day and I did a lot of reading after work. Wednesday I worked in the office for a little before running a parfum errand with Anne. In the afternoon I went to the aquarium for my pamphlet of course.
Thursday I basically finished off my pamphlet and then ran a few errands in the afternoon for Anne. I did some reading before going out in the evening to a cafe since it was Ashley's last night here. I got all dressed up which was fun.
Friday... I had two rendez-vous with homestay families in the morning (they lived in the same building). I was actually the one who decided if one of them gets to be a homestay family since she was new, Anne left it up to my judgment. I really liked the woman, it seemed like a place I'd like to stay (there have only been a few ones that I think are at the same level as Bérengère). Then I ate lunch with Ashley and said goodbye. Then I accompanied Anne and the woman from the tour I gave Monday in "shopping" since accompanying the clients is something ppl in tourism have to do from time to time. Then it was off to the bookshop for the language exchange before dinner. In the evening it was the Estivale as normal. I met up with my friend Alane who is French and we ended up talking with a group from Accent Francais (that's the name of the school I was at) the entire time.
I went to Nimes today. It's pretty close, less than 30 minutes by train. I visited L'Arène (arena - mini Colosseum), two other historical monuments that aren't much to talk about, and a beautiful parc. Today was one of the first days of a water show a the parc which was really cool to see.
