Wednesday, I got my German essay back from my professor and also got back our practice exam too. I did make a lot of basic grammar errors, but that is to be expected with how little I’ve used German since Graduation. For the practice exam – I got 9/20 – which is actually not horrible in French grading. 10/20 is a C for the most part. The grades of the whole class were between 7 and 16, so at least I wasn’t the worst! ☺ I was pretty excited about that.
Thursday was my last day at the middle school and I made PB&Js for all my classes. They were a huge hit. About half the students had never had Peanut Butter and only one student had ever had a PB&J. I got a little gift from a group of girls (candy), which I wasn’t expecting. Also, Michael got a talking to from a group of female students since he didn’t tell them beforehand that it was going to be my last day. It was a lot of fun explaining to them that PB&Js are the basic school lunch for a lot of students in America.
A few memories…
3ème bilangues
4ème bilangues
Slowly a number of teachers are realizing that my stay must be ending soon and talk to me, and then seem really sad/surprised that I’m leaving so soon – it’s most shocking when it’s people who have barely spoken to me. Anyway, next week should be interesting with all the goodbyes.
