Leaving – Monday, April 2nd through Friday, April 6th

The last week of work is a bit of a blur. I went to a lot of classes and said goodbye.
My favorite class at the high school. Tuesday, the high school had a small going away party for me during one of the little 10 minute breaks fo the day. I got a gorgeous necklace as a gift from the English teachers and poster/card from the rest of the teachers. Dominique, Salem, Francoise and me.
On Tuesday, I also said the rest of my goodbyes to my tutoring family. It was rather sad, but comforting to know that I’ll be able to back next year and visit them. Wednesday, I had my last class at Metz University and said goodbye to Lauren (my assistant-travel buddy) and goodbye to Lea (my French friend). Again, it wasn’t too upsetting since I’ll be seeing them again in the future. Friday, I left my dorm. Salem picked me up and drove me and ALL my luggage to Metz to catch a train to Paris. Then I had the task of getting myself and my luggage to the airport to store most of it and then, the next day, went to Versailles to leave a few things with Kallie for the fall. The weather was beautiful as the weekend started.
I left the big striped suitcase and the “fragile” backpack at the airport. The pink bag and back pack on top of it went to Kallie’s along with my winter coat that is tied onto my shoulder…
