Finally got my WWI weekend photos up! http://www.flickr.com/photos/76555621@N02/sets/72157632201068282/
This week started out pretty normal, though one of my classes didn't show up on Tuesday (which meant that I was there from 8h30 until 13h30 without any classes...).
Wednesday I went to the Café Philosophe with Mme Boularès my program director. Café Philosophe is a philosophy debate that happens the first Wednesday night of every month. It was really interesting! They were debating "Morals vs Ethics". It was fun to hear a lot of different opinions on the topic and what people thought each word meant and what their relationship was with the other word. I'm planning on going next month, though as it is the new year, they aren't doing it the first Wednesday, but the second one. Next times topic is: Perdre son temps - To waste time. Should be fun!
Friday I went to the Salon Saveurs, which turned out to be a gourmet food expo. I had thought it was an elegant gourmet food presentation with tastings, but it was really fun to see all the special products that were there. http://www.flickr.com/photos/76555621@N02/sets/72157632201068288/
Saturday I went to the 18th arrondissement and did my first tutoring session with a 14 year old girl. It went really well and I have on next weekend too. I helped her with her homework and then we just chatted.
Today I had lunch with my photography professor and two other students not far from the Bastille. It was in a really cool area and I am planning on checking it out another day when I have a little less on my plate.
The end of the semester is swooping in fast! Just two more weeks 'till vacation. I have my first exam Thursday and then the following week I will have 3 more! Lots to do!
You can do it! I'm crazy busy with papers, but will be free to catch up in about a week. Thanks for the postcard! Can't wait to hear more about your time in Paris!
