Well, this week is drawing to a close. It hasn't felt overly eventful, but I have gotten to see a number of films.
On Monday I saw Puzzle. It was the story of a mother/wife who discovered a love of puzzles and competes in a puzzle competition. It sounded fun... but I didn't care for it actually. It was in Spanish with French subtitles but very easy to understand.
On Tuesday I saw Hatchi. It was wonderful! It was about a professor who found a puppy at the train station and their relationship together. I would strongly recommend it. It's an American film so you wouldn't even need subtitles - my version was dubbed. It was a very touching movie.
Today I was Les Petits Ruisseaux. This one is a new French film. It's about an retired man whose best friend dies and he decides to go and really experience life rather than doing the same old thing. It was pretty good. It was challenging for me to understand though.
Oh... and Tuesday night I watched Sabrina the Teenage Witch with Bérengère. Really she watched and I used my computer and did hw. It was dubbed in French. It was funny since it's been ages since I saw it.
The only other thing of note this week is really that the "Soldes" started on Wednesday (sales). In France July is a month long sales event where most things are 50% off. It was crazy in the stores Wednesday afternoon. I went shopping with Ashley and had fun. I sort of played "mom" for her... as in I held her stuff when she had a ton of things to try on and there wasn't anything I wanted. lol.
I did buy a dress, but was a little hesitant. Just about all the clothing, even though it's half off and everything is numerically more than it would be in the US and then there's the currency change. Looking back on it it's a little funny though. I hesitated in buying a dress, 'cause I thought it was expensive, but didn't even think twice about paying that same price for a pizza for lunch that day or the sunscreen I bought today. I just must have different priorities!
