We headed off to Ireland!
It took a little while to get used to my dad driving on the left side of
the road, but he has been doing quite a good job! We drove for almost 3 hours going from Dublin
to Galway.

So, during my dad’s driving, I often had to say things like…
Curb. CURB! As he squeezed a little too close to the curb or a wall on the left
side of the car for on coming cars…
Overall he was doing fine. That
was until the giant tour bus came barreling around the corner on the “you call
that TWO LANES!!!!!?????!?!?!?!?” road, significantly in our lane. We lost the side mirror. ON MY SIDE – AWAY
FROM THE BUS. We returned to the site of
the crime to see if we could rescue the pieces and salvage the now unusable car
appendage. My mom managed to find the
back covering of the side mirror. Against
my dad’s advice, I took a peek around for the actual mirror – which I found! I then even managed to snap the mirror back on
to the car!!! I felt very successful and
it really helped with the rest of the driving.
It is “Left to live,
but not too far left…”
