I was supposed to have 2 hours of work, but Salem asked me to come to a class that actually wasn’t present (they are off doing internships right now – every year in a professional hs, the students have one or two internships that last about 3 weeks). Instead of working, Salem and I chatted. He likes to live life to the fullest and enjoy everything – so what he is doing is always interesting! I managed to crack him up with a “I have skills like that” comment. The simple silly slang we use always interests the teachers! Lol!
This was the day of the teacher “Christmas Cocktail.” It was at the cooking part of the high school (which is a 10 minute walk from the rest of the school). I was surprised at the food there – I expected it to be more impressive… It was an okay evening. I talked with two teachers while I was there. One of them is a teacher who I talk with from time to time and is very nice (if I didn’t have plans for this weekend, she was going to invite me to her place for the weekend and show me around her town). The other teacher I didn’t know very well. She is the art teacher and I remember William had told me that she is very nice, and that last year she stayed at the dorm (like me)… Since I have never seen her there, I assumed that this is not the case this year – somehow I was wrong – I DON”T KNOW HOW I HAVE NEVER SEEN HER. I’m still at a loss. She was super nice and we chatted for a while – if I understood right (she wasn’t talking with me, but to someone else), I think she’s 24… which surprised me.
