Well… at least that was the name of the presentation. I gave my Halloween presentation at the middle school today. Some of the classes were more enthusiastic than others, but all seemed to like me. I feel I was quite entertaining today. I did rather well talking mostly in English and drawing or acting out things to explain words they didn’t know. I worked with the entire class each time. There is a lack of projectors and screens at the middle school.
I really like the middle school and it’s definitely fun to be in the Teachers’ Lounge there! Everyone is so nice and talkative, even more so than the high school. It’s also REALLY nice that a lot of the staff is a little younger. I can’t always follow the conversation, but everyone is always laughing and jovial.
Funny moment of the day:
Me: “Je m’appelle Liane.”
A guy who works at the school: “Je suis Tarzan.”
→ So the explanation: His name is not Tarzan; it is something I have trouble saying. In French, a “liane” is a vine. Tarzan swings on vines. I thought it was funny. The guy is a big joker apparently and is always doing stuff like that.
Otherwise, I’m mostly getting packed for my trip to Belgium tomorrow!!!! I think I’ll manage to fit into just my small backpack… *fingers crossed*
