Normal, but a FOOD POST - Monday, Nov. 21st

Today was a pretty normal day of classes, nothing exceptional. It looks like I might be working an hour or two extra this week, but no one but me is counting (unless I go over it seems). I have rarely done 12 hours of in-class work a week, but if you think about prep and what-not, then I’m in the clear. I asked for the day before Christmas break off (so that Friday off, with the offer to work Wednesday since I have no classes in Metz that day) – and the teachers are commenting that my extra hours this week will make up for that day… I don’t know quite what they are thinking, but I’m fine with teaching tons of classes about Thanksgiving.

As the title of today indicates… I thought I’d share some of the little meals I’ve had – made in my room. Only cooking utensils = one hotplate, one pot, on frying pan, one cutting board, one plate and set of silverware, one mug/bowl. – cooking service = the floor… and tinfoil for a lid.

The process of making my delicious birthday stew (I forgot to take final pictures!!! ☹ )

And tonight’s… A Veal and Carrot Stew(?) over noodles with Ratatouille (no recipe). OH and of course some bread and cheese!

  1. First time Ratatouille makers - I suggest trying a recipe... Salt and Pepper made a world of difference for my free-style attempt... but it could be much better.
