Hey everyone, this is Liane and Eric's blog ... FRENCH LIVING AND TRAVELS!!! This blog starts with Liane's trips abroad, studying and working, and studying again in France. It continues now as she is a French teacher in California, exploring how she can bring French into her and Eric's life and into her students' lives as well.

Forbach – Wednesday, Jan. 4th
As I mentioned, I didn’t have to teach on Wednesday – so I went to Forbach. Forbach is supposed to be one of the two largest towns nearby (the other being St. Avold). I jumped on a bus and off I went. I kept my eyes open when the bus got to Forbach because I didn’t know what stop to get off at – one of the stops was directly across from the office du tourisme. Perfect. I hopped off and got all set up at the tourism office with maps and a plan for the day.
A tribute to the miners who used to be the economic base of the town.
2.60 euro… I love little towns – I should get tea sometime in my own…
Marianne, the symbol of the French Republic.
It sure was a nice day in Forbach.
Picturesque…
The tower.
Me and the tower.
I had a pleasant walk through the park.
