The week felt rather busy, though it’s hard to recall much of note during the week. I’ve just been preparing classes and trying to work to work on my German reading for the university class.
I had my private tutoring again this week and it went pretty well. I taught the youngest a bunch of horse vocabulary since she wants to go to a horse camp over the summer in England (the camps these kids get to go to are AMAZING – they are all over the world and each have different themes!!!). Otherwise, I just tried to chat with the two teenagers and it went a bit smoother than last week.
I’m really looking forward to my German literature class each week. So far the two classes I’ve had have been quite interesting, but I still don’t know what to expect in the class. We’re almost done with most of the introductory information and will really start the German part of the class next week I think. We’ll see how that goes!
At the middle school, two students interviewed me from the school newspaper. They were very nervous and didn’t know a lot of English (they wanted to do the interview in English, which surprised their teacher). They asked me little questions like: “Do you like France?” and “Have you seen a celebrity?”
